Unannounced Inspection Praises Laser Clinic Standards

Leeds clinic is one of the 1st laser clinics to have an Unannounced Inspection in this format

In addition to paying annual announced inspections the Healthcare Commission also carry out 30% of inspections on a random unannounced basis. The Commission recently published their findings after an unannounced inspection at Cristianos Laser Clinic Leeds. The inspectors praised the clinic for its high standards.

The announced inspection that took place on 3rd February 2005 gave a good report of a professional well-run establishment that had the policies in place to give a safe and clinically effective environment for clients. This unannounced inspection, with the registered manager not present was an opportunity to test the impression gained last year. The inspectors found that the high standard was fully apparent; the staff on the day were knowledgeable, empowered and highly professional, especially when having to accommodate two inspectors and carry on consultations/treatments to clients.

The level of quality assurance and risk assessment was impressive, and speaking to a couple of clients on the day, the inspectors were left with the impression of a high degree of satisfaction with the service.

The inspectors felt that having inspected the standard around monitoring of quality (which were classed as exceeding the standard required) that the evidence showed that having achieved this, Cristianos have not stood still, and yet again, this standard has been assessed as commendable, above the required level of performance.
