All our staff have vast experience working both clinically and psychologically in the field of Gender Dysphoria. All members of the team are highly qualified NHS staff who have undergone intensive training to become qualified laser clinicians.
Sharon Fillingham - Manager -RGN, MSc, Bsc (Hons), Dip Counselling Dip RZT, Cert Therapeutic Massage
Sharon qualified as a registered general nurse in 1984. After two years as a staff nurse in Accident and Emergency she moved to The St Peters Hospital Group were in 1987 she became a ward sister specialising in Urology and Stoma Care. Sharon is currently a Urinary Diversion Clinical Nurse Specialist. Having a keen interest in complimentary therapies Sharon has undertaken courses in Reflex Zone Therapy and Therapeutic Massage.
For her MSc in Human Sexuality Sharon researched the impact of surgical intervention on the body image and sexual satisfaction of the female to male transsexual. As co-editor of Urology Nursing 2nd and 3rd editions, her new book was published in 2003 with the 2nd edition in 2004
Sue Fell
Sue been part of the Cristianos team since 2003 and has stated openly how she is amazed at the benefits the Ruby Laser and VPL has offered our clients
Whilst not at Cristianos I work 30 hours a week at a top London NHS Hospital as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Urinary Diversions and Bladder Reconstructions.
When not at work she spends time with her family. She has 2 fabulous daughters which are a constant source of joy and entertainment. Both she is told will end up on the stage, one as a singer and dancer the other as a comedian!!!.
To keep herself in shape she swims a couple of miles a week, do plenty of walking and has recently started tap dancing.
Niamh Gavanagh
Niamh became a member of the London team in 2005 having studied Cristianos from afar and has always maintained progress thru her close friend Claire Townley. Niamh trained at St Bartholomew's School of Nursing and has been a qualified nurse for five years. Since qualifying she has specialised in the field of urology within a specialist urology unit at a top London NHS Hospital. Therefore has developed a great deal of knowledge and experience in dealing with sensitive issues. Niamh is currently in the final stage of completing an Honours Degree in Urological Nursing.
